The first edition of Summer Lab initiative is here!

The summer internships will take place from the 4th to the 29th of July, focusing on .NET, Android, Flutter, iOS, and React technologies.

Applications are open until June 23 for young students in areas related to Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and similar backgrounds looking to take advantage of the summer holidays to strengthen their skills and professional experience. Priority will be given to applications from students in their last years of higher education (undergraduate, master's, or post-graduate) as final-year students of secondary or technical-vocational education. The vacancies are available in our six Hub Centers (Aveiro, Braga, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Lisbon, and Porto) in a face-to-face format.

Conducted by ITSector tutors - specialists in each technology covered -, the "Summer Lab" internships will be every morning for four weeks. They will be divided into seven stages: onboarding (welcoming and integration), Summer Labs (integration into academies related to each technology), units onboarding (integration in a certain department/business area), shadowing (monitoring of specialists in the area/specific competence), training (in the area of employability and in Information Security) and career coaching(sessions to support employability, decision making, self-knowledge).

“We believe that the idea that summer holidays are only for resting is overrated, and it is becoming a key moment to combine theory with practice and take the first steps in a professional career. So, we see these internships as an add-on to training and an opportunity for evolution, networking, and trial for the job market. The main goals of this initiative are to transmit know-how and promote the development of soft and hard skills; at the same time, this will be a way to assess potential and monitor the career evolution of candidates who could be the talent of tomorrow at ITSector, and the possibility of these interns being hired in the near future is high”, emphasizes Stéphanie Dermagne, ITSector's Head of Talent Acquisition.

Candidates can apply to the limited seats here.
