ITSector/Lederulite Team wins GMC 2022

ITSector’s team will now represent Portugal in the international final

ITSector/Lederulite has just won the 43rd national Global Management Challenge - the largest Strategy and Management Competition in the world. The team, composed by Yiwei Cai, Élio Fernandes, Gonçalo Roque, Tomás Soares Baptista and António Bernardes, developed a winning strategy for the expansion of a start-up, based on a strong production plan and by betting on agents and distributors.

 

The team of students from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto will now represent Portugal in the international final, which will take place in September, in Luanda (Angola), and compete against teams from over 30 countries.

 

This is the third time ITSector celebrates a victory in this competition. In 2020, the ITSector/Abaa Team not only won the national competition, but also the international final of the Global Management Challenge, after 20 years without an international victory.

 

National Global Management Challenge 2022

The competition started with almost 350 teams, but only eight got the chance to compete in the final, which was disputed between university students from the most various areas – ranging from engineering, to mathematics, economics or human resources – and different universities across all country (Porto, Lisbon, Coimbra, or Aveiro, for example).
